God is holding your life.
After the rush and activity of the holiday season (even in pandemic), the new year can offer us a time of slowing down, simplifying, and leaning on reflection and prayer to help us sustain the journey toward a time when we can move to the rhythms of life for which we yearn. It is difficult to be patient in the midst of difficult times. The Psalms can help us with that.

Our collaboration with Worldmaking Publishing
Marcia McFee, Creator and Visionary of the Worship Design Studio first collaborated with Richard Bruxvoort Colligan at Worldmaking Publishing a few years ago on a worship series based on the Psalms–a passion (and expertise) of Richard's. When discerning a series for this unprecedented time when so many of us are searching for expressions of comfort and assurance, the Psalms and Richard's work once again came to mind. What has resulted is an expansion of the original collaboration with new songs, liturgy, and videos to help churches experience a time of assurance and simplicity. The Scriptures
For this series, we have used a new translation resource from the Order of St. Luke, a religious order rooted in the Wesleyan tradition dedicated to sacramental and liturgical scholarship, education, and practice. Their 2020 publication of A Lukan Psalter according to the usage of The Order of Saint Luke utilizes primarily The Inclusive Bible but also some adaptations of their own to provide poetic and lyrical versions of the Psalms. If you want to learn an ancient practice still in use today, this volume (sold separately) includes instructions and notations for chanting some of the Psalms. Here is a brief look at the Psalms in this series:
Psalm 72
"God delivers the needy when they call..."
Psalm 29
"My God gives strength to the people and blesses the people with peace"
Psalm 139
"you have searched me and you know me"
Psalm 62
"God alone is my rock and salvation... I shall not be shaken"
Psalm 111
"the works of God's hands are faithful and just"
Psalm 147
"God heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds"
Psalm 50
"God speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun its setting"
